14 new COVID-19 cases in Assam; tally moves to 135

Fourteen new COVID-19 cases were reported from Assam on May 19 noon. These case exclude the 6 that were reported earlier in the morning.

With the new cases, the total tally in the state went up to 135.

Assam Health Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma informed that the 7 new cases were detected from Kamrup, 2 from Hojai, 2 from Biswanath, 2 from Nalbari and 1 from Nagaon.

“Alert – 14 new #COVID + cases confirmed. 7 are from Kamrup , 2 from Hojai, 2 from Biswanath, 1 from Nagaon,2 from Nalbari. Total cases now touch 135. Please #StayAtHome as much as possible and follow all instructions,” he tweeted.

The total number of active cases in Assam now stands at 88.
