Arunachal reports 9 fresh cases of COVID-19

Arunachal Pradesh on June 22 reported 9 fresh cases of COVID-19.

A health department bulletin said that six persons from Changlang, two from Longding and one from Leparada tested positive on June 22.

The positive cases in Changlang district have returned from Uttar Pradesh while the Longding positive cases have returned from Karnataka and the person testing positive from Leparada was a returnee from Delhi.

All the positive patients were shifted to COVID Care Centre. The bulletin added that all the cases have been detected from facility quarantine and all the patients are asymptomatic.

On June 22, one patient from Lohit district was released from the hospital after the patient recovered from the disease. The patient has been advised a strict 14-day home quarantine.

With the detection of the fresh cases, the total number of active cases in the state went up to 126 while 22 patients were released from the COVID Care Centres after they recovered from the disease.

The total case tally in the state stands at 148. “As on date, Arunachal Pradesh is still in Green Zone, as all of the cases have been detected in facilities quarantine,” the health department bulletin said on June 22.
