As COVID-19 cases are on a rise in Guwahati which is under complete lockdown, the Meghalaya government has decided to impose total lockdown in areas in the state which are bordering Guwahati.

“Inter-state movement continues to be restricted. DC will issue necessary orders accordingly,” the chief minister said.

Sangma, who visited Manipur and Delhi recently, is currently under home quarantine.
