Manipur Police seize liquor, banned items

A drive against sale of liquor and other banned substances was launched on August 5 by Manipur Police and local bodies.

A team of New Keithelmanbi Outpost, Imphal West, in association with United Youth Club (UYC), New Keithelmanbi and New Keithelmanbi Ima Meira Paibi Lup conducted drive against illicit alcohol in and around New Keithelmanbi and seized 260 litres of DICL in plastic packets, sealed plastic bottles along with empty plastic bottles, plastic caps used in filling of liquor from some individuals of New Keithelmanbi Bazar.

The seized articles were disposed at New Keithelmanbi Bazar in front of club members, women volunteers and local elders.

The same team again detected and seized 10 bottles of IMFL from another person of New Keithelmanbi bazaar and disposed off the articles at the spot.
