Train engine of New Delhi-Agartala Special Rajdhani Express derailed on December 18 morning at Kumarghat station in North Tripura.
No passenger coach was affected and there was no injury or casualty in the incident.
Northeast Frontier Railway in a statement said that the incident occurred in Dharmanagar-Agartala section under Lumding division of NFR.
Accident relief train from Badarpur and medical relief team from Agartala in Tripura have rushed to the site.
Senior railway officials from Agartala and Karimganj have also arrived on the site with necessary men and materials to manage the situation and to rescue the stuck passengers of the Rajdhani Express.
Normal train movement in the Agartala-Dharmanagar section has been suspended until the railway track is restored, reports last said.
