With an aim to promote cleanliness, NTPC Bongaigaon employees took swachhta pledge in front of the administrative building to mark the beginning of Swachhta Pakhwada or cleanliness fortnight drive, that began from May 16.

Emphasizing on the event, Subrata Mandal, CGM at NTPC Bongaigaon reiterated the importance of cleanliness drives and the need to promote the awareness.

Mandal motivated the employees to participate in cleanliness drives. AK Chawla, AGM (HR) and employees of various departments were also present on the occasion.

The entire event was observed keeping in mind physical distancing norms and COVID-19 protocols.

In the main plant area, pledge was taken online by respective departments in presence of T Ravinder, GM (O&M); Ramakanta Panda, GM (maintenance); DP Patra, GM (operations) and Umesh Singh, GM (FM).

The drive aims to create awareness about the importance of cleanliness with events and activities like sanitization activity, cleanliness drive in nearby areas of Bongaigaon, and others.
