Assam government has decided to constitute recruitment commissions for Grade II and Grade IV posts in the state.

Announcing this, Assam chief minister Himanta Biswa Sarma said that it will help realize the goal of providing one lakh government jobs to the youth of the state.

CM Sarma held a meeting with senior officials of various government departments in Guwahati on November 20 and made the announcement. He reviewed the steps taken for filling up the vacant posts in various departments.

The meeting decided to constitute separate recruitment commissions headed by an officer in the rank of additional chief secretary for Grade III and Grade IV posts.

Similarly, for various engineering services, it was decided to hold a combined recruitment examination through APSC. The chief minister directed the departments to expeditiously fill up all vacant posts.
