Temple priest found dead in Guwahati

A temple priest was found dead under mysterious circumstances in Guwahati on November 11 night.

According to the police, the priest, identified as Narayan Chakraborty, was found dead inside of a railway staff quarter at Paltan Bazaar area.

An official of Guwahati city police said that, injury marks have been found on the head of the deceased person.

The deceased priest is suspected to have been hit by a blunt object on his head, leading to his death.

“We have found the body inside the railway staff quarter today morning. We have sent the body for post-mortem,” a senior police official said.

Meanwhile, police detained a person for questioning.
