Bollywood actor Sonakshi Sinha has landed in a legal trouble in a 2019 fraud case. Reports said that the actor has been issued a non-bailable warrant. However, it could not be officially confirmed.
The 2019 case, registered in Moradabad of Uttar Pradesh, is related to a dispute between Sonakshi Sinha and an event management company.
According to ETimes, Sonakshi Sinha was accused of cheating, criminal conspiracy, and breach of trust by an event organiser named Pramod Sharma in 2019.
Sonakshi Sinha was paid a sum of Rs 28 lakh in advance for an event in Delhi where she was supposed to make an appearance as a chief guest. However, she did not attend the event and her manager did not return the advance payment after repeated reminders.
The event organiser Pramod Sharma then filed a complaint against the actor in 2019 after repeated attempts to recover the money.
Reports said that the Moradabad court has issued a non-bailable warrant against the actor.
Media reports said that the actor recorded her statement in the case in Moradabad but thereafter, she missed appearing before the court.
