Three more persons, including two state government officials, have been arrested in connection with the APPSC paper leak case, taking the total number of arrests in the case to 37, a senior police officer said on December 30.

The persons were identified as 52-year-old Hanggung Yaying, a private individual, his son Matin Yaying (27), HDO (horticulture development officer), Pakke-Kessang, and Obur Jerang (28), a school teacher, SIC (vigilance) SP Anant Mittal said.

The special investigation cell of the Arunachal Pradesh Police is probing the alleged paper leakage case after a group of ‘deprived’ candidates of APPSCCE-2017 lodged an FIR, basing on which the SIC (vigilance) had registered a case on October 19, 2022.

Further, all complaints related to other various examinations conducted by the Arunachal Pradesh Public Service Commission (APPSC) from 2014 onwards have been amalgamated with the instant case for detailed investigation, the SP said.
