The Naga People’s Front (NPF) has released the names of 16 candidates for the coming Nagaland legislative assembly election to be held on February 27.
This is the first list of candidates from the regional party and insiders said that there should be another list of candidates.
The ruling Nationalist Democratic Progressive Party (NDPP) and BJP had also announced names of their official candidates for the February 27 assembly election of Nagaland.
The BJP has fielded 20 candidates and the NDPP has named 40 candidates. Nagaland has altogether 60 assembly constituencies.
The NDPP and the BJP are contesting the elections on a seat-sharing basis.
