Lokpriya Gopinath Bordoloi Airport in Guwahati has introduced automated parking system which will enable seamless parking management at the airport premises.
With the increase in volume of passengers at arrival and departure even at late hours, the Guwahati airport, which is managed by the Adani Group, announced the introduction of the automated parking system that has been rolled out in a phased manner with the integration of proven technologies.
“It would create a seamless experience for the passengers and their vehicle while on the premises of the airport,” a statement from the Guwahati airport said on February 6.
Now, vehicle users can generate tickets at the entrance using self-ticket dispensers.
“Vehicle users should scan the ticket at the exit toll booth and pay their prescribed parking fee,” the statement added.
In coming times, the airport will process the covering of parking lots with CCTV cameras to ensure of safety of vehicles. Additional CCTVs with advanced security features would also be installed at the entry and exit toll booths of parking area, the statement further added.
