Arunachal CM flags off ‘two-wheeler yatra’ commemorating 9 years of Modi govt

Arunachal Pradesh chief minister and senior BJP leader Pema Khandu, along with deputy chief minister Chowna Mein, party MP from Arunachal East Tapir Gao and others, on June 12 flagged off a ‘two-wheeler yatra’ from Namsai to Acheso village, Anini in Dibang Valley district.

The yatra has been organized by the Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM), Arunachal Pradesh along with its Namsai district unit to celebrate nine years of the Modi government at the Centre and seven years of the Pema Khandu government in the state.

“The objective of 3-day yatra by BJYM Arunachal Pradesh is to create awareness and connect people to various flagship programmes of the government. It also aims to showcase the journey of PM Narendra Modi ji’s 9 years of Seva,” Khandu said in a tweet after flagging off the two-wheeler yatra.

Tweeting photographs of the event, BYM national president and MP Tejasvi Surya wrote: “Thank you to Arunachal Pradesh CM Pema Khandu Ji for giving an inspiring start to two-wheeler yatra by BJYM. Over the next 3 days, BJYM will travel 340 kms between Namsai & Acheso to raise awareness about development activities carried out in the region.”

“From piped drinking water to pucca roads, ease of banking to border security, people will be made aware of every bit of programme implemented during #9YearsOfSeva under PM Narendra Modi Ji led-Govt,” Surya tweeted.

Also, present on the occasion were MLAs Chau Zingnu Namchoom and Jummum Ete Deori, Namsai district BJP president Chau Sujana Namchoom, BJYM national secretary and in-charge Arunachal Pradesh, Arunjyoti Hazarika and state BJYM president Ram Tajo, among others.
