MP Tapir Gao urges effective monitoring for proper implementation of central schemes

Lok Sabha MP from Arunachal East constituency Tapir Gao stressed on effective monitoring of all the centrally sponsored schemes (CSS) and directed all the deputy commissioners of eastern Arunachal Pradesh districts to ensure proper implementation of the schemes in coordination with the elected representatives for efficient and time-bound delivery of public services through the same.

Gao was chairing the quarterly District Development Coordination and Monitoring Committee (DISHA) meeting for all districts of Arunachal East Parliamentary Constituency, at the District Secretariat, Tezu in Lohit district on July 8.

Present in the meeting were deputy chief minister Chowna Mein, ministers Alo Libang and Honchun Ngandam, deputy speaker Tesam Pongte, MLAs of eastern Arunachal districts, DCs, DRDA project directors and DPOs of 11 districts.

During the meeting, progress of over 40 centrally sponsored schemes and programmes being implemented within the Arunachal East Parliamentary Constituency were reviewed. The house also had deliberations over existing challenges and the possible solutions for due implementation of the schemes.

Deputy CM Chowna Mein advised all the members to get engaged themselves on field to implement all the centrally sponsored schemes for the larger benefit of the general public and directed to monitor the performance of the schemes regularly.

All the MLAs, DCs participated actively in the review and discussed the strategies for effective implementation of all the centrally sponsored schemes. The meeting also discussed few success stories and challenges faced in districts on which MP Tapir Gao directed them to convey the issues discussed to their parent departments for addressing the same in time.

Earlier, Lohit DC and member secretary (DISHA) Shashvat Saurabh, on behalf of all the 11 districts, gave a power-point presentation covering physical and financial reports on the various schemes implemented under the eastern parliamentary constituency.
