Assuring “all possible measures” to ensure the safety of the two Sikkimese students missing from their school hostel in Gujarat’s Jamnagar, Sikkim chief minister PS Tamang has instructed a senior official to take up the matter “with utmost seriousness”.
“My heart goes out to the families of these missing students, and we are fully committed to taking every possible measure to ensure their safety,” the chief minister said.
“I have instructed the resident commissioner of Sikkim in Delhi to take up the matter with utmost seriousness. The Jamnagar Police Station has also provided a brief investigation report,” Tamang added.
The chief minister had expressed his concern soon after he was informed on September 9 night about the missing students from Global Pranami School, Jamnagar.
The two Sikkimese students – Palzor K Tamang and Daut Lal Bahadur Subba – who were staying at the school hostel, have been missing since August 28.
A student from Nepal Prajjaval Puspraj Chapagain, studying in the same school, is also untraced from the same date.
