In a significant stride towards enhancing connectivity in the eastern part of Arunachal Pradesh, Network Travels, one of the largest private bus operators in the Northeast, has introduced a new night bus service connecting Diyun with Guwahati.

This initiative aims to bridge the gap and facilitate easier travel for the residents of Diyun, a small town-circle in the Changlang district of Arunachal Pradesh.

The new route, operational via Namsai and Tinsukia, covers a distance of approximately 590 kilometers in a 15-hour journey. The premium non-AC 2×1 bus departs from Diyun at 2 pm, offering passengers a comfortable overnight ride and reaches Guwahati at 5 am the next day. In the return journey, the bus departs from Guwahati at 6 pm, arriving in Diyun at 9 am the following day.

This daily service aims to provide a convenient travel option for the local residents, as well as tourists, facilitating smooth transportation between the two places.

Network Travels already operates a daily direct service between Namsai and Guwahati, and this new route further extends their reach, making travel more convenient for the people of Diyun.

Recently, the bus operator also started daily services to Miao, making it convenient for the people of remote areas of Changlang district to commute to Guwahati and further.

Diyun, a diverse town-circle, is home to various tribes including Singpho, Deori, Chakma, Hajong, Tai Ahom, Tangsa, and others. Until now, the town was connected with daily direct bus service only up to Tinsukia/Dibrugarh via Namsai. The nearest railway station, Makum, is located near Tinsukia in Assam.

With the introduction of this new night bus service, the residents of Diyun and neighboring areas – including Sompoi, Dumpathar, Mudoi, Innao, Piyong – can now access Guwahati more conveniently, opening up opportunities for trade, tourism, and overall development in the region.

Network Travels’ commitment to expanding its services in the northeastern region has garnered praise from the local population. This initiative not only fosters better connectivity but also strengthens the economic and cultural ties between different parts of the region.
