Radhashyam takes oath as chief information commissioner of Manipur

Retired IPS officer, Koijam Radhashyam Singh, was sworn in as state chief information commissioner of Manipur Information Commission by governor Anusuiya Uikey at Raj Bhavan in Imphal on October 21.

Chief minister N Biren Singh said that the new state chief information commissioner was appointed and the government will fill up the required staff in the Manipur Information Commission to know the issues and grievances of the people.

The newly-sworn-in chief information commissioner said that his priorities would be to share information which is required by the citizens and at the same time he will not compromise on administration efficiency.

He said, citizens should be well informed so that they can understand the decision-making process without affecting any developmental activities.

Singh assured that he will discharge his duties at the larger interest of the public.
