All the cricketing players are gearing up to win the ODI World Cup 2023. Interestingly, a majority of cricket players are peculiarly superstitious, which has been noticed several times and often being in the cricket news, especially during the plays and sometimes revealed in their interviews. Superstition and cricket go hand in hand, and these are the three most strange examples given below.

Sachin Tendulkar

Sachin Tendulkar is known as the greatest batting legend that India has ever produced. The 50-year-old cricketer holds an unbreakable record of 100 centuries in his international cricket career. Tendulkar is the all-time highest run scorer in both ODI and Test cricket, with over 18000 and 15000 runs, respectively while he was also a force to reckon with in the IPL.

Interestingly, the legendary player always believed in the superstitions. The former India skipper always used to wear his left pad first and then right before going to bat. The star cricketer believes he has had much more success following the superstitions.

Virender Sehwag

Virender Sehwag is widely known as one of the most destructive opening batsmen in the history of cricket. The great right-handed batsman who won the 2002 Champions Trophy, the 2007 T20 World Cup, and the 2011 ODI World Cup didn’t have the jersey number. The legendary cricketer used to have a 44 on his jersey, but later he removed it as he believed he got runs from wearing a jersey without numbers.

Michael Clarke

Former Australian cricketer Michael Clarke had a very amusing superstition. The former Aussie skipper used to hear loud music songs before going to play, as it helped him relax and feel better during the play. The legendary cricketer has gone on to become one of the greatest batters, perhaps by following this superstition in addition to his hard work.
