BJP Manipur celebrating party's victory in assembly elections in three states on Sunday

The ruling BJP in Manipur on December 3 joined the celebration as the party won in three states in the assembly elections.

The counting of votes for the assembly elections in four states were held on December 3 with the saffron party winning in three states – Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh. The Congress won in Telangana.

The counting of votes in Mizoram will be held on December 4.

The celebration at the state BJP office in Imphal’s Nityapath Chuthek was among others attended by state party chief A Sarda Devi, chief minister N Biren Singh, ministers and MLAs of the party.

Addressing the party workers, chief minister N Biren Singh said that the party victory in the three states was a testament to the collective will of the people.

He alleged that the Manipur issue was highly politicized by other political parties, particularly by the Congress to make political manoeuvres and take advantage out of the crisis. “They sold out Manipur,” he added.

However, the parties lost as the people across the country knew that these parties were telling lies only to defame the BJP, he also added.

“The humiliating defeat that the Congress faced today is a lesson that the citizens of the country cannot be easily misled,” he said.

The chief minister then said that BJP’s victory in the three states is the testament of Narendra Modi becoming the prime minister of the country for the third consecutive term after the upcoming Lok Sabha elections due by early part of next year.

While informing that the party has begun its electioneering for the upcoming elections to the Lok Sabha, Biren Singh called upon the party leaders, members and workers to work harder so as to ensure BJP winning both the Lok Sabha seats from the state.

The chief minister said that he has a strong confidence that the BJP will win both the seats in the upcoming elections.

He then thanked the people of the three states for their support and faith in the BJP.
