Mizoram chief minister Lalduhoma

Aiming to monitor and streamline all the developmental works in the state, the Mizoram State Project Monitoring Committee (MSPMC) was established which will be led by chief minister Lalduhoma. The committee includes representatives from political parties, civil societies, and the church.

A state government notification named retired Indian Revenue Service (IRS) officer R Lalrinawma as vice-chairman and retired superintending engineer of the state PWD Vanlalruata Sailo as secretary.

One representative each of Mizoram Kohhran Hruaitute Committee (MKHC), conglomerate of major church denominations in the state, BJP, Congress, Mizo National Front (MNF) and the ruling Zoram People’s Movement (ZPM) will be members of the committee.

One representative each of the central committee of the Young Mizo Association (YMA), Mizo Hmeichhe Insuihkhawm Pawl (MHIP) or women organization, Mizoram Upa Pawl (MUP) or elder’s organization and Mizo Zirlai Pawl (MZP) or Mizo students’ federation and Mizo Students Union (MSU) will also be members.

The committee will be authorized to inspect and monitor any developmental project in the state and will have full power to approve revised estimates or defer completion time of the projects after due consideration.

Constitution of the committee is one of the tasks listed by the new ZPM government which promised to take it up during 100 days of taking over the reins of power in the state.
