Following the completion of the consecration ceremony at Ayodhya’s Ram Mandir, Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma expressed his sentiments, declaring the occasion as the end of 500 years of slavery. He emphasized that India, under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, has showcased that anything is possible. Chief Minister Sarma stated, “I have full faith that Ram Rajya has begun now. Also, India will become Vishwaguru along with being Ram Rajya.”
When questioned about Rahul Gandhi‘s remarks attacking him, Chief Minister Sarma responded, “Why are you talking about Ravan today? At least talk about Ram today. We have the opportunity to talk about Ram after 500 years. We should only talk about him and not about Ravan.”
Earlier, Rahul Gandhi had stated that the Congress party is not afraid of PM Modi and Chief Minister Sarma, asserting that the BJP is daydreaming if they believe the Congress is scared of them.
Meanwhile, Prime Minister Narendra Modi led the Pran Pratishtha ceremony in Ayodhya, describing the unveiling of the Ram Lalla idol as a moment of both celebration and reflection. He highlighted the maturity of Indian society and expressed optimism about the country’s future. RSS Chief Mohan Bhagwat, Uttar Pradesh Governor Anandiben Patel, and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath were present during the rituals inside the sanctorum. The ceremony resonated with chants of ‘Jai Sri Ram’ from devotees and guests.
