Arunachal CM Pema Khandu, his cabinet visit Ram Temple in Ayodhya

Arunachal Pradesh chief minister Pema Khandu, accompanied by his cabinet members, made a significant visit to the revered Ram temple in Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh, on February 6. This visit comes in the wake of the recent consecration ceremony of Ram Lalla, marking a pivotal moment in the spiritual landscape of the nation.

According to the Uttar Pradesh chief minister’s office, the Arunachal Pradesh cabinet, comprising ministers, MLAs, and officials, expressed deep reverence upon witnessing the divine presence of Ram Lalla and appreciated the warm hospitality extended by the Uttar Pradesh administration. This visit holds historical significance as it marks the first political delegation from Arunachal Pradesh to pay homage and offer worship to Ram Lalla following the consecration ceremony.

Upon their arrival at Maharishi Valmiki Airport, the delegation of 70 members received a dignified guard of honour. They were warmly welcomed by key figures including Uttar Pradesh’s agriculture and Ayodhya in-charge minister Surya Pratap Shahi, district panchayat president Roli Singh, and other dignitaries.

Chief minister Pema Khandu expressed his enthusiasm about visiting the Ram temple, highlighting its monumental significance as a beacon of spiritual heritage, particularly emphasized by its construction after a span of 500 years. He recalled his previous visit to Ayodhya during the temple’s construction phase and his communication with Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath regarding the establishment of Arunachal Bhawan in Ayodhya. CM Khandu reiterated the profound pride the Ram temple symbolizes for the nation, heralding the dawn of ‘Ramarajya’ and a promising era of development.

The consecration ceremony, conducted on January 22 at 12:29 pm, witnessed the sacred rituals performed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, culminating in the unveiling of the idol of Prabhu Shri Ram Lalla. This visit underscores the deep cultural and spiritual ties that unite the diverse regions of India in reverence for its timeless traditions.
