NF Railway has introduced a unique dining experience for passengers with the inauguration of a Rail Coach Restaurant at Guwahati Station. This initiative aims to offer travellers a distinctive culinary encounter while adding to the amenities available at major stations.
The newly operational coach restaurant at Guwahati station is adorned with paintings, warm lighting, and comfortable seating arrangements, promising a welcoming ambience for diners. Patrons can savour regional flavours and a variety of Indian dishes in addition to enjoying the novelty of dining in a train coach setting.
Equipped with modern infrastructure, the coach restaurant is poised to provide food lovers with a memorable dining experience. Guests can relish their meals with family and friends, recreating the excitement of dining aboard a train. The restaurant also offers facilities for purchasing food, snacks, and beverages.
Currently, NF Railway has 14 operational coach restaurants across its network, with plans to introduce more at 62 selected locations. The establishment of the coach restaurant at Guwahati Railway Station, one of Northeast India’s pivotal transportation hubs, aims to cater to the needs of passengers while generating non-fare revenue for the railways.
Additionally, this initiative is expected to create employment opportunities for both skilled and unskilled workers, further contributing to the local economy.
