Defence minister Rajnath Singh is set to visit Assam on February 29, where he’ll address a mega rally in the Barpeta Lok Sabha Constituency. Assam state BJP President Bhabesh Kalita confirmed the event, highlighting the preparations underway to welcome the esteemed leader.

“We are gearing up for his visit,” stated Kalita, emphasizing the significance of Rajnath Singh‘s address at the mega rally. The event will also include a gathering of party workers from the Barpeta Lok Sabha constituency, alongside a meeting of the Lok Sabha Prabandhan Committee.

Furthermore, Kalita mentioned the anticipation surrounding another potential visit by Prime Minister Narendra Modi before the Lok Sabha poll dates are announced. He also revealed plans for senior leaders such as Amit Shah and Nitin Gadkari to visit various clusters across the state in the coming days.

In preparation for the upcoming general elections, the Assam BJP has diligently organized election management committees at both the constituency and assembly levels. With a robust network comprising over 48 lakh dedicated workers in Assam, the party is leaving no stone unturned in its mission to ensure victory.

Highlighting the momentum gained, Kalita shared, “There is no opposition in Assam,” underscoring the growing support for the BJP. The party anticipates significant additions to its ranks, with over 7,000 Congress members expected to join in Majuli and many more individuals slated to join on February 15.

With a strong foundation laid by recent projects inaugurated by the Prime Minister, Kalita expressed confidence in the BJP-led NDA’s prospects, predicting a resounding victory of over 400 seats in the upcoming elections.
