After Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman presented the interim budget in Parliament on February 1, Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma praised the Budget for 2024-2025, hailing it as a testament to outstanding governance over the last 10 years.

“As a citizen, I take immense pride in Prime Minister Modi ji’s leadership, which has delivered historic accomplishments surpassing cumulative achievements of the past. The developmental data presented in today’s budget reflects a nationwide consensus that people will elect the Prime Minister for a record third time,” Himanta Biswa Sarma remarked.

“The target to support 3 crore Lakhpati Didis is revolutionary and will transform the country’s rural landscape. The Prime Minister’s call of Jai Anusandhan takes shape in a Rs 1 lakh crore corpus for research and innovation, expanding our frontiers of Techade,” he added.

CM Himanta emphasized that by not imposing additional taxes, the Modi Government has demonstrated that taxpayer welfare remains its topmost priority.

“In a nutshell, this Interim Budget aims to firmly establish Bharat as the world’s fastest-growing economy for a sustained period and lays a strong foundation for the Prime Minister to lead the nation’s journey to becoming the third-largest economy by 2029,” the Assam CM concluded.

Meanwhile, Union Home Minister Amit Shah on February 1 stated that the budget outlines the roadmap to achieve PM Modi’s vision of a developed Bharat by 2047.

“The Union Budget draws the roadmap to achieve PM Modi’s vision of a developed Bharat by 2047. The budget speech highlights the milestones achieved by the Modi government in the last 10 years on its journey to make Bharat the foremost nation in every sector during the Amrit Kaal. On the very foundation of these feats, the magnificent edifice of a Viksit Bharat is being built,” he said.
