Birdie Boro, representing the Assam Police team, has emerged as a standout performer at the All India Police Meet in Nagpur, Maharashtra.
Boro’s exceptional prowess secured four medals altogether – two gold medals in individual events, one for Gazetted posts and another in the open cadre, alongside two bronzes in team and doubles table tennis. Manashjyoti Changmai was his doubles partner.
The event concluded on February 29. The Assam Police team participated in four diverse events, including table tennis, volleyball, sepak takraw and yoga, showcasing their versatility and competitive spirit. The team clinched three bronze medals in sepak takraw and an impressive tally of two gold and two bronzes in table tennis.
Birdie Boro’s exemplary achievements, coupled with the team’s overall success, have brought pride to the Assam Police contingent.
