The BJP-led alliance in Assam formulated a roadmap for joint election campaign across 14 Lok Sabha constituencies of state, Assam BJP president Bhabesh Kalita said on March 18.

Kalita said the roadmap has been prepared for a joint election campaign in 14 Lok Sabha constituencies of Assam with BJP alliance partners Asom Gana Parishad (AGP) and United People’s Party Liberal (UPPL).

A meeting was held at Vajpayee Bhawan in Guwahati for an election strategy discussion between the BJP and AGP.

After the meeting, Kalita addressed the media, stating that discussions were held on a common strategy for the elections between BJP and AGP.

“We will campaign together on behalf of the 14 candidates of the alliance. We are sure that the people of Assam will vote for us for development,” he added.

AGP president Atul Bora, vice president Keshab Mahanta, and BJP MP Pabitra Margarita attended the meeting.

BJP has already released a list of 11 Lok Sabha candidates from Assam, reserving the remaining three seats for allies AGP and UPPL.
