BSF organizes civic action programme for bordering communities, schools in East Khasi Hills

The 193 Battalion of Border Security Force (BSF) in Meghalaya, as part of its ongoing efforts to ensure the welfare of the population residing along the international border and school students, organized a civic action programme at border village Purnanagar under East Khasi Hills district of Meghalaya on March 19.

The programme was inaugurated by the oldest lady of Purnanagar village, symbolizing the deep-rooted connection with the local community. Rajiv Kumar, commandant of 193 Bn BSF Meghalaya, attended the programme, signifying BSF’s commitment to community welfare and engagement.

During the programme, the BSF distributed essential items to the community centers of the villages Betgora, Khaikona, Purnanagar, and Badrup. Additionally, computers, desks, and sports items were distributed to school students to support their academic upliftment and overall development.

The distribution took place in the presence of school teachers, headmen, and nearby villagers.

Expressing their sincere gratitude towards the border force, the villagers thanked BSF for such a noble cause.
