The Assam Pickleball Association orchestrated a vibrant pickleball carnival and clinic at the IAS Colony Tennis Club, Guwahati. The event, held on March 8, marked a significant milestone as the first of its kind in the northeastern region of India.

Pickleball, hailed as one of the fastest-growing global sports, has captivated sports enthusiasts worldwide with its unique blend of tennis, table tennis, and badminton. The carnival and clinic served as a platform to introduce this dynamic sport to the sport-loving communities of the region.

Approximately 30 individuals spanning different age groups enthusiastically participated in the clinic, eager to learn and engage in the exhilarating sport. As a token of appreciation for their participation, prizes and certificates were bestowed upon all the attendees, encouraging further interest and involvement in the game.

The occasion was graced by the presence of some noted personalities, including Subash Ch Das, Mrinal Kumar Baruah, Md Allaudin, Pratul Phukan, Nitul Gogoi, Dilip Mohanty, and Bhaswati Bharati, among others. They were felicitated for their contributions to sports and community development.

“The pickleball carnival and clinic not only introduced a new sporting dimension to the region but also fostered camaraderie and enthusiasm among participants. As pickleball continues to gain momentum globally, this event stands as a testament to the growing interest and potential of the sport in the northeastern part of India,” said one of the organizers.
