Congress State President Jitu Patwari on Friday launched a scathing attack on Prime Minister Narendra Modi saying that his language has changed after the first phase of voting.
“The voting trend is in favour of the INDIA bloc. PM Narendra Modi’s language changed after the first phase of voting. This is an indication that BJP will not be able to form the government,” he said.
Earlier on Wednesday, Jitu Patwari took a jibe at PM Modi saying he is a showman. Patwari also accused that in the last 10 years of PM Modi’s tenure, 17 governments of opposition parties were toppled in the country and over 500 MLAs and 200 MPs were horse traded.
He further alleged that the BJP government was acting like the ‘Sarkari Mafia’ which works only to take opposition party leaders into its party.
He pointed out that the country has the highest unemployment rate, and highest inflation, and broke the records in corruption. There are corrupt people in your party, he said.
PM Modi is scheduled to hold a road show in Bhopal on Wednesday evening and it will be the PM’s fifth visit to the state within this month. Earlier, he came to Jabalpur on April 7, Balaghat on April 9, Narmadapuram on April 14 and Damoh on April 19.
Polling for the Lok Sabha in Madhya Pradesh will be conducted in four phases, with the voting scheduled for April 26, May 7 and May 13. The counting of votes has been scheduled for June 4.
Madhya Pradesh has a total of 29 Lok Sabha constituencies, making it the sixth-largest state in terms of members it sends to the Lower House. Of these, 10 seats are reserved for SC and ST candidates, while the remaining 19 are unreserved
