Accusing the INDIA bloc of receiving support from Pakistan and jihadis, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday claimed that prayers are being read in Pakistan for the Samajwadi Party and the Congress who are appealing for “vote jihad” here.
Addressing a rally in Bansgaon, PM Modi said that June 4 (result day), is going to decide the future of India.
“June 4, 2024, is going to decide the future of India. The country will spread its wings and take a new flight on June 4 towards the resolve of ‘Amrit Kaal’, building a developed India, and fulfilling the dreams of 140 crore Indians. Millions of people are eagerly waiting for that day. On June 4, the countdown of India’s race to become the third largest economy will also begin,” PM Modi said.
The Prime Minister said that “INDI jamaat is abusing” him for “opposing reservation on the basis of religion”.
“Lekin kuch taakatein (powers) aisi bhi hain jinhein Bharat ki pragati se pet me dard ho raha hai, ye log 4 June ko lekar alag hi sapne dekh rahe hain’. In Pakistan, ‘duas’ (prayers) are being made for the INDI alliance of Samajwadi Party and Congress. Jihadis from across borders supporting SP and Congress; these parties are appealing for ‘vote jihad’ here,” PM Modi said.

Highlighting the opposition’s stance on Article 370 and the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA), Modi said, “The INDI alliance says they will reinstate Article 370 in Jammu and Kashmir and repeal the CAA, which grants citizenship to refugees. This is exactly what anti-India forces want; why does the INDI bloc want the same?”
The Prime Minister praised Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and said that CM Yogi is an “expert” in teaching lessons to “Mafias.”
“Mafias have built mansions even on the government’s land under the Samajwadi party. Palaces of mafia built on public land during SP rule are being torn down to make houses for poor. ‘Lekin jab se Yogi ji aaye hain, mahaul hi badal gya, mausam bhi badal gya. Hamare Yogi ji, acche acchon ki garmi utaarne me expert hain’,” he said.
He accused the Congress of obstructing India’s defence sector progress and said that Congress created roadblocks for countries wanting to purchase BrahMos missiles.
“It won’t be long before BrahMos missiles are manufactured in UP. The BrahMos missile is in demand worldwide, but Congress created roadblocks for countries wanting to purchase it. The INDI bloc doesn’t want India to become self-reliant in defence or to export weapons; they prefer foreign arms deals that bring them commissions. Under the rule of the previous governments, the farmers here suffered a lot, most of the sugar mills were closed, and farmers had stopped cultivating sugarcane. Our government is also filling these potholes of SP,” he said.
PM Modi Modi emphasised the benefits of his government’s schemes and said that all the people who are getting benefits of government schemes are waiting for June 4.
“Those 3 crore poor who will get pucca houses, elderly people above 70 years of age who will get free treatment of up to Rs 5 lakhs, crores of youth who will be benefitted out of Mudra scheme, those 3 crore sisters of self-help groups who will become ‘Lakhpati didi’ and crores of people who will be getting free electricity under PM Surya Ghar scheme are waiting for June 4,” he said.
In the 2019 Lok Sabha elections in Uttar Pradesh, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) emerged as the winner by securing the majority of seats. Of 80 seats, the BJP won 62, followed by the Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) with 10 seats, the Samajwadi Party (SP) with 5 seats, and the Apna Dal with 2 seats.
