CM Khandu donates for Ram temple construction

Arunachal Pradesh chief minister Pema Khandu has donated an undisclosed amount to Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust to mark the start of state-wide donation drive for the construction of Ram temple in Ayodhya in Uttar Pradesh.

“On this auspicious Donyi Polo Day, offered my humble contribution to Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra, Ayodhya to mark the start of state-wide donation drive,” Khandu tweeted on December 31.

The chief minister gave his contribution in the form of a banker’s cheque to Techi Gubin, president of Arunachal Vikas Parishad (AVP), a socio-cultural organisation.

Khandu extends greetings on Donyi Polo Day

Earlier, Khandu extended his greetings to the people of the state on auspicious occasion of Donyi Polo Day.

In a tweet, he wrote: “Heartiest greetings to people of Arunachal Pradesh on the auspicious occasion of #DonyiPoloDay. The day is celebrated in reverence of #Sun and #Moon God. May Ane Donyi and Abu Polo bless the mankind with happiness, prosperity and guide us always towards better path.”
