Northeast Frontier Railway announced the resumption of three intercity special trains on a daily basis after August 15.
It has also decided to extend the service of Agartala-Bangalore Cant. summer special up to February 2022 and Secunderabad-Agartala weekly special for 5 more trips each with existing timings, stoppages and composition for the benefit of passengers, a statement from NF Railway said on August 6.
Among these, Train No. 05769/05770 Alipurduar Junction-Lumding Junction-Alipurduar Junction daily intercity special will restore from August 17. It will leave from Alipurduar Junction at 3:45 am to reach Lumding Junction at 1:40 pm.
In return direction, Train No. 05770 Lumding Junction-Alipurduar Junction intercity special will leave from Lumding Junction at 3:05 pm to reach Alipurduar Junction at 12:50 am on the next day.
Services of Train No. 02984/02983 Agartala-Bangalore Cant.-Agartala summer special have been extended to run up to February, 2022.
Train No. 02984 Agartala-Bangalore Cant. the summer special will run on Tuesdays from August 31 to February 22, 2022. Train No. 02983 Bangalore Cant.-Agartala summer special will run on Fridays from September 3 to February 25, 2022.
Services of Train No. 07030/07029 Secunderabad-Agartala-Secunderabad weekly special will run for five more trips.
Train No. 07030 Secunderabad-Agartala special will run on August 9, 16, 23, 30 and September 6 leaving from Secunderabad on Mondays.
In return direction, Train No. 07029 Agartala-Secunderabad weekly special will run on August 13, 20, 27 and September 3 and 10 leaving from Agartala on Fridays.
Train No. 05719/05720 Katihar-Siliguri Junction-Katihar daily intercity special will be restored with effect from August 16. It will leave from Katihar at 6 am to reach Siliguri Junction at 10:55 am.
In return direction, Train No. 05720 Siliguri Junction-Katihar intercity special will leave from Siliguri Junction at 2:15 pm to reach Katihar at 7:15 pm.
Train No. 05767/05768 Siliguri Junction-Alipurduar Junction-Siliguri Junction daily intercity special will restore from August 16. It will leave from Siliguri Junction at 4:45 pm to reach Alipurduar Junction at 11:20 pm. In return direction, Train No. 05768 Alipurduar Junction-Siliguri Junction intercity special will leave from Alipurduar Junction at 5:45 am to reach Siliguri Junction at 10:30 am.

“On arrival at their destination, the passengers will have to adhere to prevailing health protocols of the destination state. All passengers are requested to cooperate with the railway and respective state govt officials in this regard,” a statement from NFR spokesperson Subhanan Chanda said.
