Two militants nabbed in Manipur

Security forces apprehended two militants belonging to the HPC-D (LK Hmar faction), in Churachandpur district of Manipur, officials said on May 30.

Loktak Battalion of the Assam Rifles apprehended the two militants from Molvaiphei village of Churachandpur district on May 29.

An official from the Assam Rifles said that based on specific intelligence inputs, the security forces launched an operation at Molvaiphei village on May 29 and apprehended the two cadres of HPC-D (LK Hmar faction). They belong to Pherzawl district of Manipur.

The apprehended cadres were handed over to Churachandpur police station for further investigation, the official added.
