Fifteen new cases of COVID-19 were reported from Arunachal Pradesh on June 1 evening taking the total number of cases in the state to 20.

Earlier in the day, a case was reported from Namsai district.

Chief Minister Pema Khandu confirmed the spike in the number of positive cases in the state which till June 1 had just 4 cases.

“Rise in Positive #Covid19, 15 more positive cases detected, all are in quarantine facilities being shifted to COVID Care Centre. Total positive active as of now is 19,” the chief minister informed.

With this, the total number of COVID-19 cases in the state climbed to 20 with one patient recovering from the disease.

While there are now four active cases in the state, the first patient was released from the hospital in Tezu after he recovered from the disease.
