Himanta Biswa Sarma

The BJP will conduct a constructive Lok Sabha poll campaign in Assam, senior party leader and state chief minister Himanta Biswa Sarma said on March 15.

Addressing a press conference at the BJP office in Guwahati, Sarma said: “The party is emphasing on the use of the BJP‘s development-focused politics in the election campaign.”

“In the upcoming election campaign, the BJP’s approach in Assam will deviate from previous patterns. Our focus will be on conducting a socio-political survey-centric campaign, aimed at fostering more development in Assam,” he added.

He predicted that the BJP would win 13 out of the 14 Lok Sabha seats in Assam, potentially securing another term for Narendra Modi as prime minister.
